Jaipur Travel : The Pink City


Founded in the 1727 AD by Sawai Jaising II and famously known as "The Pink city", it is a fascinating city with a wide variety of hill forts and palaces and numerous attractions. It is known as the Pink city due to the color of stones used to build this city. Here one can find crowdie bazaars selling handicraft products, embroidered leather shoes, pottery products and other beautiful wares.

This city also fascinates the travelers by the way of its architecture, as this city is built through a nine grid pattern which was considered to be lucky in the old days. It is surrounded by a wall and has seven entry points. The architecture reflects a Rajput and Mughal style

This city not only offers architectural beauty but also a wide range of pageants and festivals, wealth of handicrafts, legacy of forts and palaces and beautiful sights.

This city currently is well connected with Air, rail and road. A traveler visiting here would not face problems for transport to visit here or roam around in the city. The temperature here ranges from an average min. 25°C to average max. 40°C in summers and a min. 8°C to 21°C, in winters. The common languages here are Hindi, Rajasthani and English.
